I think you've done well on this, just along with all the others you have done. But, I think you should have tried to outline the flower, rather than have it blending in with the other colours. But over all, I think you have done a very good job. All the colours work well together, and they have been blended well, I like the idea. I think you are an amazing artist, and should continue to pursue your designs and idea. I think it is amazing, Well done. ^^ Me and my sister are both amazed by the work you produce.
the fading of colors form the inside of the eye to the outside is beautiful. The Flower could be outlined a little more just to make it more bold. And the Black shadowing could extend around the flower to heighten the appearance of fire. I guess you could take the shading inside the flower and shade it in the shape of actual flames. You could also add more detail to the center of the flower. But i dont know much about makeup but your work is amazing, and I hope you win. This is truly amazing work. Good Luck with all your art.
I would like to invite you to my group . Its a group for eyes of seasons, including, but not limited to the four major seasons. There is a season for many different things, such as monsoon season, rainy season, allergy season, hurricane season, etc.
Just found this, so I'm sorry if it's past the date on the competition.
I simply loved this, as a whole. There were certain elements I liked over others, as happens with all art, but the creation as a whole had a lot of balance and the elements themselves were integrated quite well.
Likes: I like how melty the flower feels. It doesn't stand out as this big "Look, I'm a focal point!" sort of thing. With it not be overdramatized, the whole thing feels lovely and soothing and impressionistic. It has a terrific flow, and I think if the flower had been more outlined (which was my original thought), it would have been jarring. It's a neat trick for such hot colors to have such a peaceful feeling, so big kudos there. (Seriously, the more I look at it, the more I think of Monet's Waterlilies series, the way his flowers just sort of floated against a background without overwhelming it. Great job.) It's a subtle thing, but I particularly appreciate that the flower's petals aren't perfectly symmetrical. I think it would have felt less organic if they had been.
Dislikes: I think the "smoky" part at the upper outside of the browbone was a bit TOO black, a little oversaturated. I find it kind of distracting, especially with how the rest of that whole area was more smudgy. I think the smudges are more effective than just the one big black blotch.
