I Heart Colour by KatieAlves I Heart Colour by KatieAlves
I hate how much Deviant Art dulls down the colour! It makes me sad. Click to make it bigger and see proper colours. Anyways, I used Lime Crimes new uniliner and Glama Girl Cosmetics! Yay fun colours!

The shading you have going on here is really quite lovely. However the use of yellow is a bit startling, I do like how it contrasts, but the tone and the saturation of the yellow is just a bit harsh against the soft blues and warm pink you have. I think if you blended it a bit more into the pink, got a nice orange middle tone between the two it wouldn't "pop" out quite as bad. Also, you managed to capture an absolutely gorgeous periwinkle in the lips, I'd like to see that mirrored in the eyes as well, don't get me wrong the make up and photography is superb, but if your going to link these two pictures as one piece you should try to get as close as possible in terms of color coordination (which you do, for the most part.) As for the hearts, I don't think they are really necessary and if anything I think they distract from the piece as a whole. The quality of the photos and the craftsmanship speaks for itself, you don't need the yellow hearts, and they are fun to do but in the end just give it a...well childish feel. Otherwise very strong work, it looks fantastic.

Oh, one more thing though. The close ups are interesting, and I like how you have them arranged in the piece, but I think it would be really interesting to see the whole face at once, just so the audience can see just how well the eyes and the lips really complement each other. Just something to think about :)

i really love this makeup, it reminds me of candy and its really fun! it seems like the focus of the color is toward the blues and purples. and less toward the yellow side of the color scale witch makes the yellow pop, and look even more beautiful! the colors go extremely well together, tho i would have liked to see hints of green. i adore the heart detailing you did below the brow, its so cute and it contrasts beautifully with the color of the brow. i really dont see anything wrong with this peace. its beautiful and the colors are so vibrant and perfect. well done!

There's a bunch of different ways. First, if you have light coloured eyebrows, just use eyeshadows. Next you can you an eyeliner and eyeshadow over top (thats what this is). There's actually a bunch of products for brow and hair chalk. Then finally you can cover your eyebrow with eyebrow wax and paint them on!

I'm very impressed that you were able to color your thick, black eyebrows so vibrantly. I can never get mine to do anything...
