Yes, I'm still wearing my red wig! I just can't stop playing with it! Plus my hair has bad roots showing, so this is much prettier! One day I will have this bright of red hair! One day!
This is actually my submission for BH Cosmetics Holiday contest!
As a portrait, this photo is great. The colors are captured in a very nice and pleasant way and the composition is textbook making the image work in a very pleasant and calm way.
The makeup well I'm no expert but here are my thoughts. THe colors around the eyes along with the lipstick and the wig help bring out the color of her eyes in a warm and pleasing way. The skin looks almost like porcelain, this works very nicely with the colors you have chosen. In most images like this the photographer spends hours post processing but I honestly get the feeling that with your talents you put the makeup on and shot one photo then uploaded. Very nice work very pleasing to the eye, and I'm positive that everyone men and women turn around on the street to capture just one more glimps.
Vision: Though beautiful, I don't think this is as grand as some of your others works (a very high standard to meet). However, it is still a great piece and very intriguing.
Originality: While Christmas is a common theme, the way you portray it is very original. Common and cliche symbols of Christmas are absent, replaced with the holiday's colors in a clever and unusual fashion. This is not to mention the fact that makeup is a rare medium that you use so beautifully!
Technique: Impeccable, as always. Your work has never been anything less than extraordinary and this is no exception.
Impact: This is a gorgeous and striking piece that really catches the eye. A fantastic use of color and light bring this piece to life. While it is not a particularly thought-provoking theme, it is a truly beautiful representation.
So elegant! normally I'd shy from the usual red and green together like that, but you always find a way to make things like these two colors together perfect for each other.
